Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), are a business metric used to evaluate factors that are crucial to the success of an organization. The following KPIs have been chosen to show the most important factors for a successful Facebook strategy:

 

  • Fans: The total amount of Fans of a page.
  • Fan Increase: The increase of Fans within the past month.
  • People Talking About: People Talking About represents the number of people sharing stories about a page in the last 7 days. This public data is available for every day, but each data point contains a sum of the last 30 days.
  • Own Posts: The regarding total amount of own posts of the page.
  • Likes: Total amount of Likes on posts within the last 30 days.
  • Comments: Total amount of Comments on posts within the last 30 days.
  • Shares: Total amount of Shares on posts within the last 30 days.
  • User Posts: The amount of User posts of Facebook within the last 30 days. (Please note: If a page disallows user posts you won't get any numbers for this metric.).
  • Interaction Rate (I-Rate): A combined index of the sum of Likes, Shares and Comments per own post, standardized by the total amount of own posts and Fans within the last 30 days.
  • Response Rate: The calculated rate of responded and not responded user questions within the last 30 days. (please note: If a page disallows user posts you won't get any numbers for this metric.)

  • Followers: The total amount of Followers of a Twitter profile.
  • Follower Difference: The change of Followers in the chosen time period.
  • Tweets: The Tweets metric is the sum of Own Tweets, Retweeted Tweets and Replies to Users.
  • Own Tweets: Own Tweets means all Tweets except for Retweeted Tweets and Replies to Users.
  • Retweeted Tweets: Retweeted Tweets are Tweets a Twitter profiles retweets from other users Tweets. In fact, this is no original content. It can be further seen as curated content for the followers of this profile.
  • Replies: The metric shows the total change of Replies by a Twitter profile on any Twitter content.
  • Retweets: The number of Retweets on Tweets of selected Twitter profiles.
  • Own Tweets Retweets: The number of Retweets on Own Tweets (= all Tweets except Retweeted Tweets and Replies to Users)
  • Own Tweets Likes: Total amount of Favorites on Own Tweets (= all Tweets except Retweeted Tweets and Replies to Users)
  • Mentions: All Mentions of Twitter profiles within a specific time frame. Please note: Retweets and Replies with profile mentions are included.
  • I-Rate: The interaction rate is the average number of Retweets, Favorites and Replies per Own Tweet divided by the number of Followers.
  • Response Rate: The calculated rate of responded and not responded user questions.
